This week I had the opportunity to check-out Bamboo Shoot Studio, in Escondido, CA. One of the reasons, I decided to check out this studio was that is close to my location meaning I didn’t have to drive an hour to get there and battle traffic. I have been on the hunt for a nearby studio and this was kind of like going shopping.
I have to tell you at first, it was a little difficult to find, due to the lack of signage and no map anywhere on the Internet, trust me I searched everywhere. I ended up having to e-Mail, the organizer of the Meetup and studio, Oliver to get directions, which he responded in a timely manner, before the meet.
I have to say, even though it was dark and I only saw the inside, I was really impressed with the studio.
It has multiple mini setups, with lighting in place ready to go.
It is clean and well organized. I have been to a few studios and some would get an F.
It is setup the same outside as well with various backgrounds.
The cost is inexpensive, only $150.00 per 8 hour block and only $25, if you go over an hour.

Both Oliver and his wife were gracious hosts and provided both drinks and snacks, during the shoot. I don’t think I have ever seen that. I felt like royalty.
If you are a photographer and given the chance, I would definitely check out Bamboo Shoot Studios on Meetup sometimes, but make sure you register early, because it fills up fast. Once you are there, you will know why.
I hope I have not bored you too much. I had a lot of fun writing this one like all of my blogs. I trust I have given you some valuable tips to think about, before planning your next shoot. It’s not all bad, just be clear and informative, it will save you a lot of headaches. Remember nothing is set in stone and there is not a perfect formula, so go out and have some fun.
